The unit's hard-wired installation ensures long-lasting performance with minimal upkeep, and with three different installation options and two ways to link multiple fixtures to one power supply, it's easy to tailor the light system to unique spaces (additional fixtures sold separately). In addition to the obvious choice of placing it under kitchen cabinets, the light fixture also works well in an office, craft room, shop, or other work space in need of bright, white illumination. The 80-watt fixture uses four 120-volt Xenon bulbs (included), which provide a white dimmable light that lasts three times longer than halogen, plus there's no need for a transformer, so installation's a snap. Tool-free access to the wiring compartment offers added convenience when installing. The fixture's frosted tempered-glass cover gently diffuses the light so there's no harsh glare, while its full-length reflector optimizes the light output. A magnetic lens closure keeps the hinged cover securely in place, and a high/low/off rocker switch allows for selecting the amount of light desired. Available in a variety of lengths, which can be linked together with a linking cable (not included), the under-cabinet light measures 32 inches long by 3-3/4 inches wide by 15/16 inch high.
